Training

As a graduate at IPL you will be given a training program tailored to your needs. You will be involved in firm wide training as well as site specific training. You will also be offered training specific to engineers, as well as training specific to your discipline. Training is flexible to cater for individual needs.

Mentoring

As a graduate at IPL you will be provided with a mentor to guide and support you throughout the graduate program. Your mentor will be an experienced engineer from your discipline who you can use to bounce ideas off, gain inspiration from and provide you with as much career advice and support as you would like.

Relocation Support

IPL will reimburse you for relocation expenses (such as petrol, freight of personal effects and temporary accommodation) if you join IPL from another city.

Site Tour

First year graduates are invited along with graduates at other sites to attend the annual IPL graduate tour. This week long tour assists graduates to further understand both the industry they work in as well as other industries through visiting a number of sites. The tour gives graduates first hand exposure to a range of external sites. This tour is also an opportunity for graduates to get to know those based at other sites and the type of engineering work their peers have been exposed to.

Hands-on Site Experience

As an engineer with IPL you will be working in demanding conditions and have to use your mind and hands to ensure the job gets done safely and efficiently. Varied and challenging positions give you the opportunity to develop your skills and reach your maximum potential.
